Paderborn has a number of tourist attractions. In the inner city alone, there are over 20 historical buildings, such as the Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, the Town Hall in the style of the Weserrenaissance and The river Pader that originates in more than 200 springs near Paderborn Cathedral.

Paderborn is a wonderful holiday destination, which offers relaxation and sightseeing. The Cathedral is the most beautiful building in Paderborn. The huge cathedral decorates the center of the city, and it can be called a true jewel. The church has existed since the 13th century and is a real masterpiece of outstanding architecture both from the outside as well as from the inside. After dark, the cathedral is illuminated impressively and thus represents a beautiful view. The Town Hall is nothing less interesting, the numerous styles were skilfully staged, so that the building is already noticeable from afar. Worth mentioning is the Adam and Eve House, which was once built in a typical half-timbered style. The building was completed in 1560 and is one of the oldest buildings in Paderborn.

While the park facilities in Paderborn offer a pleasant walk, the surrounding Egge mountain range invites you to go hiking. Numerous hiking trails lead past impressive sights. For example, visitors are treated to the viewpoint of Bierbaums Peak or the Alterbeken Viaduct. Some tourists use the lake landscape for boat trips or water sports. If you want to see the nature from the airy heights, visit the "Paderkletterpark" and experience a fun-filled day of the very special kind. Shopping centers and weeks markets offer a few surprises for visitors,while the evenings can be completed with a visit to the Cinema.
